Hi, I’m Kyla. I’ve traveled to 4 continents and almost all 50 states. From visiting Macchu Piccu to experiencing a concert at the Sydney Opera House to skiing the slopes of Telluride, I love a new adventure. My travel days started when I was young, encouraged by my parents who believe the world is meant to be explored. During my internship with the Travel Channel, I traveled across Europe by rail and air. It fueled my passion for travel.
During my career as an award-winning TV news anchor and journalist, I reported and anchored from states across the country. I covered wildfires in Montana and traveled to eastern Montana to dig up fossils with paleontologist Dr. Jack Horner of Jurassic Park fame. I was in Benton Harbor, MI interviewing the Rev. Jesse Jackson during a period of heightened racial tension and riots. In Massachusetts, Missouri, Indiana and Vermont, I reported breaking news and interviewed national politicians such as Governor Mitt Romney and Senator Bernie Sanders. I was on the move until I earned a prestigious Annenberg fellowship at USC Annenberg to receive my Master’s degree in Journalism. I snatched up the opportunity and landed in LA. But my heart was still in Texas. I fell in love during my last anchoring stint in a small Texas town and after I graduated, I returned to Texas to marry my love.
Once I settled down and had children, I thought my travel days were over. But now they’re even better! And yours can be too, with research. That’s where I can help. My family has taken city tours, Disney trips and cruises, beach vacations and ski vacations. We want to share what we’ve learned to help you create the best trips possible. Go ahead- dive into the blog and find your next dream vacation spot. Happy traveling!
